How Alto.Ski works

Download the app
- Download the Alto.Ski app from the App Store or Google Play.

Order cards
- Register and order your skipasses and we’ll post them to you within a few days (or pick up from the ski resort office).

Activate cards
- Once you have your cards, open the Alto.Ski app and scan the QR code on each one to activate them.

Hit the slopes!
- You’re ready to go. Hit the slopes and enjoy all the benefits of ‘pay as you go’ skiing with Alto.Ski.

or- Do I still need a physical skipass?
- Yes! You can order one through the app and we’ll post it to you or – if you are in one of our resorts – you may be able to pick one up there. Check out our resorts page for more information on the resort you’re going to.
- Can I add family members too?
- Yes, for your convenience you can add up to five family members to the same Alto.Ski app so everything can be managed in a single place. (Each family member requires their own physical skipass).
- Which resorts can I use Alto.Ski in today?
- Alto.Ski is currently available in 10 ski resorts in Italy, but we’re working hard to add more soon! See our latest resorts. If you’ve got a favourite resort you’d like to see us in, let us know by tagging us on social media.
- How do you know how much to charge me?
- Our system knows every time you – or one of your party – uses a ski gate in the resort. Based on this we can determine the correct ticket type, based on your time on the slopes, whether that’s a few hours, half a day or a full day’s skiing.
- When will I be billed?
- You will automatically be billed around midnight after each day’s skiing and you can always see the latest breakdown of your bill in the app. We also do a pre-authorisation on your registered payment card when you go through the first ski gate of the day.
- Why did I receive a notification from my bank after I went through the first ski gate?
- We do a pre-authorisation on your registered payment card when you go through the first ski gate of the day. This is to make sure you have enough funds on your card to cover a full day’s skiing. No payment is taken at this stage.
