Gearing up for the 2021/22 ski season
November is here and it won’t be long before we can hit the slopes in most alpine resorts again.
With most skiers not able to ski for almost two seasons, there’s a lot to be excited about and catch up on.
Snowy start
Firstly, snow!
In The Snow is reporting that the start of November has seen many areas report a lot of snowfall with more expected.
While, J2Ski’s snow forecast for Italy expects at least 17 ski resorts in Italy to have more snowfall over the next few days.
Great news for the coming season.
Ski trains return
Meanwhile, The Guardian is reporting that ski trains to more than 60 European resorts in France, Switzerland, Austria and Italy are starting again, with bookings now open.
So if you’re never tried a ski train, now could be the perfect time, particularly with a reported carbon footprint reduction on your journey of up to 90%.
New Alto.Ski app launches
And, just in time for the 2021/22 season, the latest version of our very own Alto.Ski app on iPhone and Android has launched with new resort guides; ski hire and accommodation booking available in app and a brand new design to make it even easier to use.
