Espace San Bernardo is a vast international ski area between Italy and France that connects the resorts of La Thuile in the Aosta Valley and La Rosière in Savoy. A point of reference for lovers of skiing in large spaces. A border paradise that in winter hosts skiers from all over the world offering 152 kilometers of slopes for all tastes, both for beginners and for those who are more experienced in alternating easy, medium difficulty and very technical. A track, most of all, makes La Thuile unique, the “Three”: the athletes competed in two Women’s World Cup races, in 2016 and 2020, and two Telemark World Cups.

A large ski area that enjoys a particular microclimate and allows you to enjoy a long winter season. The excellent quality of the snow is guaranteed by the incessant work of the pisteurs and snow cats and by over 400 cannons for programmed snowmaking.

82 slopes, a single international ski pass and 38 modern and fast ski lifts – with a total hourly capacity of 63,200 people / hour – allow you to enjoy fantastic days on the snow, eliminate queues and non-stop skiing.

The Espace San Bernardo also includes 2 slalom stadiums, 1 snow park, 1 boarder cross track, 2 fun cross areas, 1 secure free rider area, 1 snowkite area easily accessible with the lifts, 2 playgrounds for children to satisfy every type of need. The free ESPACE SAN BERNARDO app in the IOS and Android stores allows you to get real-time information on slopes, lifts, web cams and directly purchase the ski pass in just one click.

The highest altitude of the area is Mont Valaisan (2800 meters) reachable by two modern chairlifts both from the French and Italian sides through the Belvedere (2,650 meters): from these observation points, the 360 ° view of the peaks – French on one side and Italians on the other – it’s exciting.

To reach the slopes from the village (1,441 m) it takes just a few minutes, thanks to the fast cable car, which takes you very fast at high altitude, to Les Suches (2,200 m), over 3,000 people / hour. Have fun getting on one of our customized cabins: the Skisauna is completely covered in wood and houses a real Sauna, created in collaboration with the Terme di Pré-Saint Didier.

Stunning views of the dazzling Rutor glacier and the Mont Blanc range accompany you on an experience that is not only sport, but also a pleasure for the eyes and mind.

La Thuile awaits you also in summer, with some open lifts and over 200 km of tracks for mountain bikes. La Thuile also hosts international Cross Country competitions every year, the only Olympic off-road cycling discipline.

La Thuile can be almost completely reached by motorway: only 15 minutes from the Morgex (AO) exit.
